Hi, my name is Zandra Phillips, and I am the State of Ohio Licensed Childcare Provider and sole owner of Pitter Patter Learning Center, LLC. I am an Early Childhood Educator and have dedicated my career to providing children with quality care, learning opportunities, and a safe and nurturing environment.

I love my chosen profession because there is no greater feeling than knowing that you have helped a child learn, grow, and develop. What I enjoy most is seeing the expression on a child's face when they discover something new or accomplish a new skill independently for the first time.

I strive to provide children with a combination of educational, developmental, and creative experiences. As a professional childcare provider, I remain committed to staying informed about childcare laws, regulations, and best practices while continuing to learn new and engaging teaching methods and activities.

Education and Professional Development

I achieved my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential in April 2017 after completing more than 120 hours of childcare-related education, a written and oral examination, and an on-site observation during business hours.

Maintaining my CDA requires continued professional development, including completing 35 hours of child-related education within each three-year period.

As a State of Ohio Licensed Family Childcare Provider, I am also required to complete ongoing professional development, CPR annually, additional credits of early childhood education and/or childcare training each year, and First Aid training every two to three years.

I continued my education in Early Childhood Education (ECE) at Sinclair Community College, beginning in Fall 2018. I am proud to say that I graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2022 with my Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

My commitment to education and professional development allows me to continue growing as an early childhood professional while providing children and families with quality care and educational experiences. 

I have also completed the required fingerprinting and background checks through local and federal authorities to meet the requirements for operating as an Ohio childcare provider.

My goal is to continue creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, loved, and encouraged to learn and grow.

Our Philosophy at Pitter Patter Learning Center

Pitter Patter Learning Center, LLC was established to provide quality, loving care and educational experiences for children from infancy through school age. We recognize the importance of balanced development and provide opportunities for children's mental, physical, social, emotional, and educational growth through a variety of creative and developmentally appropriate experiences.

Children are encouraged to learn, explore, ask questions, and develop skills at their own pace while participating in activities that support their individual interests and needs.

We are honored that families choose Pitter Patter Learning Center to be part of their child's growth, development, and early education.

As a State of Ohio Licensed Family Childcare Provider I am required to annually take Infant and Child CPR plus 6 addition credits of early childhood education and/or childcare training courses, along with First Aid, which is required every 2–3 years. I am happy to say that I will be continuing my education in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and attending Sinclair Community College in Fall of 2018 and receiving my Associates Degree in 2020. My certifications include the following:

• Child Abuse

I have also been fingerprinted by local and federal authorities and have had a criminal background check to meet all requirements to be a Certified Ohio Childcare Provider and to assure my clients that they have their children in a safe and crime free environment.
